Acceptable Electronic ArtWork Formats:

Lasering | Sandetch Requirements

  • VECTOR artwork only (.eps, .ai, .pdf)
  • All artwork elements in Black & White (without grayscales).
  • Line thicknesses - at least 1.5 points.
  • Provide a hard copy printout of layouts. A faxed version is acceptable.

Screen Print Requirements

  • Vector format in solid black and white, any art being screened in solid PMS spot color.
  • Vector format and in full color, any art being screened in CMYK color.

2D | 3D Subsurface Requirements

  • 2D file formats accepted - .png, .jpg, .tiff, .ai, .eps, .pdf (300 d.p.i. or greater)
  • 3D file formats accepted - .obj, .3ds, .dxf, .dwg, .stl, .svg
  • CMYK color format (TIFF, GIF or JPEG with a resolution of 300 d.p.i. or greater)

Type Sizing Guide for Etching

  • San Serif fonts (ex. Helvetica) - 12 pt. or larger
  • Script fonts (ex. Allura) - 15 pt. to 18 pt. or larger
  • Serif fonts (ex. Times) - 14 pt. or larger
  • Please refrain from using Open Face fonts (ex. Caslon Open Face). The lines are not thick enough and will not etch with quality.
  • Visions is not responsible for the quality in etching for text point sizes smaller than specified above.

Paper Proofs

  • Upon request, one paper proof will be supplied via email at no charge.
  • If additional proofs are required due to preference, changes or revisions, a nominal fee will be applied per proof.
  • We will provide a proof of the desired imprint on a template of the item ordered so size, positioning and spelling can be approved.
  • Written approval must be returned via email asap to avoid delays.

Art Services


Artwork

  • All artwork is subject to factory approval.
  • Electronic art is required (see art specifications).
  • Email artwork to [email protected]. E-mail must include purchase order number and contact information.
  • Art modification charge is $75.00(G) per hour, with a 3-hour maximum.

Set-up, Personalizations and Copy Changes Are Included in the Per Piece Price.

Digital Color Setup/Make-Ready

  • Initial imprint area is FREE. Additional imprint area is $7.75(G) per location.
  • Digital color process artwork needs to be 1/8” away from all edges.

Colorfill:

  • Tight registration or detailed art will need prior approval.
  • Colorfill not available on barware and stemware.
  • For sand-etch items, additional colorfill is $5.00(G) per color, per location, per item.
  • For screen printed items, additional screen color is $2.50(G) per color, per location, per item.

Imprinting/Additional Locations

  • Catalog pricing includes the initial imprint.
  • Oversize or additional locations are $7.75(G) per location, plus any applicable setup charges.
  • Inked mattes (logos, personalization) add $24.75(G).
  • For screen printed items, additional screen color is $2.50(G) per color, per location, per item.
  • PMS color match $45.00 (G) per PMS color per order.

Subsurface Laser

  • Unit price includes a 2D or 3D subsurface laser logo/image.
  • For 3D subsurface laser, an .obj file is required. Otherwise, an art charge is $75.00(G) per hour, up to a maximum of 3 hours, applies.
  • Additional imprint process is $9.00(G) each per piece.

Supplied Product

  • Supplied products for custom framing or gift box insertion need to have detailed mounting instructions and purchaser order number on packaging. Visions is not responsible for the condition of the supplied materials upon receipt.

Production Services


Changes/Cancellations

  • Changes to a purchase order must be acknowledged in writing before Visions can resume processing the order.
  • Product production commences upon receipt of purchase order. Logo, personalization and other decorating processes beings after art approval. Changes or cancellations after this time may be subject to all costs incurred up to the change and/or cancellation, including a restocking fee of 25% of the order.

Lead Times:

  • 5-7 working days after art approval on in-stock items up to catalog quantity, based on available inventory. For Zinc products (i.e. zinc plates, medallions, etc.), lead time is 10 working days after art approval.
  • See Rapid Ship guidelines for specific items that can ship in 3 working days.
  • For non-Rapid Ship items, additional charges may apply to ship in fewer than 5-7 working days. Contact factory for details.

Subsurface Laser Lead Times 2D and 3D

  • Standard lead times are 5-8 working days after art approval, up to catalog quantity, based on available inventory.
  • Additional Charges may apply. Pricing is based on average of 4 million points per engraving.
  • Our laser process can produce 200,000 dots per cubic inch, resulting in truly clear and detailed 2D or 3D images. Preproduction samples are recommended to assure finished products will be produced as agreed. Larger volume orders and more detailed 3D engravings may incur additional production time.

Rush Services

  • See Rapid Ship guidelines below for Rapid Ship items that can ship in 3 working days, without a rush fee.
  • Additional charges may apply to non-Rapid Ship catalog items required to ship in fewer than 5-7 working days. Contact factory for details.
  • For VisionsXtra: $62.50(G) when rush service is available. Proofs may have to be waived. Please contact customer service for specifics on your order. Rush service is not available for writing instruments and in most cases, retail brands.

Rapid Ship Guidelines

  • Items designated with the logo in the catalog, may apply to certain sizes only.
  • Applies to quantities of 1-50 units, with standard decorating methods, sand etch, sand etch with colorfill (1-color) or digital imprint only.
  • Please provide complete purchase order, including art and complete shipping information.
  • Pre-approved credit is required.
  • Order will ship 3 working days from date of receipt of purchase order, provided the paper proof is approved within 2 hours of receipt.
  • Please provide the purchase order, art, and all other information to Visions by Noon E.S.T. (Receipt Date).
  • Expedited shipping required via overnight method.

Random Samples

  • Samples are billed at 25% off net EQP, plus freight.
  • For VisionsXtra products: up to $10.00(X) cumulative order, no charge. Over that is billed at EQP. Retail brands are billed at the first column price, plus freight.

Blank Samples

  • 1/3 off sell column price, plus freight.
  • Blank samples can be returned for credit. A 25% restocking fee per unit returned applies.

Shipping Services


Shipping/Handling

  • Standard shipping methods are UPS or FedEx.
  • Shipping on a 3rd party account will incur at $10.00(G) fee
  • A $8.75(G) handling fee per master carton applies on all shipments.
  • Special shipping methods and requests are subject to additional handling charges.
  • All international shipments are subject to additional duties, taxes, and brokerage fees.
  • Shipments are FOB: Celina, Ohio; Cebu, Philippines and Guangdong, China.

Freight/Damage Claims

  • Orders should be inspected upon receipt and any damages must be reported to Customer Service within 48 hours of receipt. Photos of damaged products must be provided with a written damage claim. Any notification of damage beyond 48 hours may not be accepted.
  • Claims are not possible if any re-shipments have occurred.
  • If product is shipped on a 3rd party account, freight claims must be initiated by the 3rd party account holder.
  • In every instance, it is essential that all original shipping cartons, packing materials, and damaged product(s) be retained by recipient until claim is settled.
  • Claims are not possible if any reshipment has occurred.

International Shipments

  • All shipments outside of the United States incur a $25.00(G) documentation fee, per location.
  • Contact name and phone number(s), including city and country code, must be provided for all international shipments.
  • All international shipments must be shipped via UPS or FedEx.

Drop Shipments/Split Shipments

  • $5.00(G) per package, plus shipping and handling, when a detailed list of items and ship to information are provided in a file via email.

Master Order/Release Program

  • Visions has complete fulfillment capabilities to manage release programs. Please note the following program requirements:
    • Program duration: 1 year, after which a warehouse fee is applies, unless special arrangements have been made.
    • Payment: Product must be paid upon order placement.
    • Any remaining products will be shipped at customer’s expense, unless special arrangements have been made.

Insertion/Printing Fee

Credit card payments received after 30 days of invoice date are subject to a 3% processing fee.

Guarantee

We will gladly replace any reasonable defects in any Visions’ products. Variations of size, color, and/or pattern are characteristic of art quality in handmade awards and are not considered defects. Please note that small bubbles, chill marks, and other variations are inherent in crystal and glass, and do not constitute product defects. Surface variation, grain, texture, veining and surface cracking are natural occurrences in natural materials and may affect a logo or text. Therefore, replacements will not be provided for these natural occurrences.

PROP 65


What is Proposition 65?

Proposition 65 requires businesses to provide warnings to Californians about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. These chemicals can be in the products that Californians purchase, in their homes or workplaces, or that are released into the environment. By requiring that this information be provided, Proposition 65 enables Californians to make informed decisions about their exposures to these chemicals.

Proposition 65 also prohibits California businesses from knowingly discharging significant amounts of listed chemicals into sources of drinking water.

Proposition 65 requires California to publish a list of chemicals known to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. This list, which must be updated at least once a year, has grown to include approximately 900 chemicals since it was first published in 1987.

Proposition 65 became law in November 1986, when California voters approved it by a 63-37 percent margin. The official name of Proposition 65 is the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986.
